After being a stay at home mum looking after my 3 daughters, I decided to take a 2-year part time Animal Care course at Bishop Burton College. I qualified with an HNC and began working for numerous vets in the area from reception to auxiliary nurse before joining Kingston Vets as Head Receptionistin 2004.
I am now based at our Cottingham surgery where I have worked for 9 years. As well as on the reception I also write a monthly article, on behalf of Kingston, for the local magazine, The Cottingham Times. I have 4 grandsons and a granddaughter ranging in ages from 6 years to 18 months, a cat called Saffie and 2 rabbits Peta and Potter.
Alongside my grandchildren and pets, I also have a passion for rifle shooting which I have been doing for 46 years and have been a member of Beverley Target Club for 31 years and also baking cakes where I lead the Cottingham section of the Clandestine Cake Club.
